Sensilla candles uses only high quality cosmetic grade fragrance oils in all our products. As fragrance oils can contain essential oil components which can be highly flammable, Sensilla has rigorously tested our candles to ensure safe use as well as good scent throw (and safety should always be considered when dealing with flammable components in candle making). While Sensilla is not marketing our candles to be ‘triple’, ‘double’ or ‘quadruple’ scented, you can rest assured that each candle is safe for use and is made with the safest maximal level of fragrance oils.
Sensilla prefers fragrance oils over pure essential oils for a number reasons. One being the highly flammable and volatile nature of pure essential oils. High combustion rate of essential oils is a cause for concern and it is generally best for use in tealight burner or electric burner. Secondly, there are more varieties of fragrance oils to choose from and who does not like to have a scented candle called ‘Monkey Farts, Liquorice Mint or Champagne & Strawberry’?. Sensilla range of products is evolving and our fragrance lists are growing. We listen to our customers and will continually introduce new fragrances to our range.
